The gershwin is a tourist class hotel, located in the heart of the historic flatiron district, the birthplace of the manhattan skyscraper. The lobby shines with original pop art, including an actual campbell’s soup can autographed by andy warhol, the hotel’s artistic godfather. At the front desk, the guest is welcomed by the friendly, young and culturally diverse staff, who themselves boast a formidable array of languages. A multi media complex unto itself, the hotel also includes an in house cabaret, the living room, which features live music, stand up comedy and theater performances several nights a week.
